Next-Gen Workforce: Creating Spaces that Support Diversity, Leverage Technology & Attract Talent
Earn CEU credits through October 31, 2021

One of the great “cubicle farm” ironies common to 1980s-era workplaces is the idea that employees were encouraged to “think outside the box” as they spent their days confined to an 8’ x 8’ cube. Thankfully, those days are long gone, and in the evolution of the modern office, the walls have come tumbling down. But, has the pendulum swung too far the other way?

The now ubiquitous open office plan overcorrected the problem of partitioning people into boxes by getting rid of nearly every barrier that offered employees a semblance of privacy. While long benching systems crammed more people into a smaller footprint (good for a company’s bottom line) and promised greater collaboration, the unintended consequence of putting people to work in “a fishbowl” was just the opposite.

So, what’s the solution?

We’ve partnered with interiors + sources® to offer you a new, one-hour CEU course on the next generation workplace. Explore the importance of flexibility and wellness in modern offices, intelligent technology that can support workplace objectives, and what manufacturers are doing within the rapidly changing environment of contract furniture to help evolve.

Here’s what's covered:

- Discover the Top 5 drivers of change in the workplace.

- Learn about flexibility in meeting varying generational needs at work.

- See what hospitality-inspired amenities are expected of companies.

- Know the role technology integration has in creating agile workplaces.
